Gastonia, N.C. – Want to learn more about the college of your choice or how to get a college scholarship?  Pick up tips on taking the SAT or ACT?  Well here’s your chance and it’s free.

 

Gaston County Schools will conduct the first annual College Expo 2012 on Saturday, February 18 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Gastonia Conference Center in downtown Gastonia.  The event is co-sponsored by the Alliance for Children & Youth and Communities In Schools.

 

Students and parents, here’s your opportunity to: 

  • Find out how to get a college scholarship and financial aid 
  • Learn how to market yourself to colleges, select a college and  hear about college life 
  • Pick-up tips on taking the SAT and ACT, and much more

 

Representatives from 28 colleges and universities throughout the southeast will be on hand to answer questions, give out college literature and provide information on applying for a scholarship or financial aid, etc. Admission is free to students and parents.

 

High school and middle school students and their parents from Gaston County and surrounding areas including, Cleveland, Lincoln, Cabarrus and Catawba Counties are invited to attend this exciting event.  Students who are interested in attending college –  don’t miss this exciting opportunity.
