Register NOW for Pre-K 2012-2013!
Applications are now being accepted for the 2012-2013 Pre-K program. Please drop by the pre-k location of your choice (see Pre-K Locations) and complete an application for your child. You may also download a pre-k application from this website and submit the completed application to the pre-k site.
Applications are also available at the Pre-K office and may be submitted there. The Pre-K Office is located at 348 West Garrison Boulevard, Gastonia, NC 28052.
Along with your child's application, you should also submit his/her certified birth certificate, proof of address and verification of income (recent check stub, etc.)
Children registering for 2012-2013 Pre-K must be:
- 4 years old on or before August 31, 2012
- a resident of Gaston County

Please note that registering a child for Pre-k does not assure that the child will be offered placement. There is limited Pre-K space at each of the sites, so there is not room for every child who registers. Each child who registers will be screened and children showing the greatest need for preschool will be placed first. Others will be placed on a waiting list. If your child is placed in a Pre-K classroom out of your assigned attendance district, you will be responsible for providing transportation for your child to and from school. |
