 Classroom Rules:

1.  Be respectful and courteous to everyone.

2.  Come to class prepared; science book, binder, and pencil.

3. Follow all school rules.

 

 

 Required materials for this class:  One inch binder or larger binder with section for science, colored pencils or crayons, plenty of pencils and hand held pencil sharpener. Tissues and paper towels will be appreciated also.

 

 Grading:

Homework counts 10%

Tests count 40%

Classwork and labwork counts 50%

Science Syllabus

First Nine Weeks:                                    

Nature of Science - Doing Science,

Cells, Cellular Reproduction and Heredity

Second Nine Weeks:

Body Systems and Homeostasis:

structure and movement, digestion and nutrition, excretion, respiration, circulation, immunity, nervous system, endocrine system, and human life stages.

Third Nine Weeks:

Motion and momentum, Newton's Laws, and simple machines.

Fourth Nine Weeks:

Atmosphere, weather, climate, and air pollution.
